The material can be used in a variety of applications. It can with favor replace plastics in existing applications in order to increase the environmental aspect. Examples of potential existing products include:
- bags for waste disposal
- protection around vegetables
- barrier layers in packages etc.
However, a new composition of material gives also the opportunity to create new products that can gain advantage from the specific characteristics. Examples of potential new products is soluble packages for food applications, bug traps etc.
